FundQuest Advisor strengthens sustainability research capability with new hire
FundQuest Advisor (‘FQA’), BNP Paribas Asset Management’s external manager selection specialist, announces that it has strengthened its sustainability research capability with the appointment of Camille Ferron as Sustainability Analyst in its Fund Selection Team.
Based in Paris, Camille joined in September and reports to Isabelle Tillier, Head of Fund Selection. In this newly-created role, Camille will focus on extra-financial fund analysis, including external managers’ responsible investment processes. In a market in which interest in responsible investing is growing, FQA is committed to adapting its product offering to meet new client needs and anticipate regulatory change. Camille will work with Claire Coquard, Head of Sustainability, and FQA’s team of analysts, based in London and Paris, to provide qualitative assessments of funds’ extra-financial characteristics and promote customised sustainable services.
Camille joined from Vigeo Eiris, a global ESG research provider, where she evaluated green, social and sustainable bonds, rated the ESG performance of a range of conventional and alternative assets, and assisted investors in implementing responsible investment strategies. She is a Social Sciences graduate of the Ecole Normale Supérieure de Cachan and holds a Master’s degree in Environmental, Energy and Sustainable Development Economics from the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales (EHESS).
FundQuest Advisor has a strong commitment to sustainability research, having first incorporated extra-financial criteria into its fund selection process in 2014. A proprietary in-depth extra-financial scoring methodology is applied to all asset classes, funds and management companies in order to provide clients with systematic and consistent rankings.
Isabelle Tillier, Head of Fund Selection at FundQuest Advisor, comments:
“We are pleased to welcome Camille Ferron to FundQuest Advisor. We were one of the first fund selectors to apply sustainability rankings at both management company level and fund level, and as clients increasingly focus on the ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) footprint of the funds in which they invest, Camille’s expertise, coupled with Claire Coquard’s experience, will be invaluable as we continue to expand our capabilities in this area.”
