BNPP AM Appoints Guillaume Wehry as Asia Pacific Chief Marketing Officer

BNP Paribas Asset Management announced today that Guillaume Wehry has joined the company as Asia Pacific Chief Marketing Officer.  In this newly created role, Wehry will work hand-in-hand with the regional heads in Wholesale Distribution, Institutional Sales as well as Brand and Communications to further define and develop marketing strategies among BNP Paribas Asset Management’s integrated businesses within the region.  His remit also includes coverage for marketing, sales analytics and product development. 

Based in Hong Kong, Wehry reports locally to Ligia Torres, BNP Paribas Asset Management’s Asia Pacific Chief Executive Officer and functionally to Roger Miners, BNP Paribas Asset Management’s Global Chief Marketing Officer. 

Commenting on Wehry’s appointment, Torres says, “As BNP Paribas Asset Management continues to expand our regional footprint, Guillaume’s acute understanding of the asset management business makes him well-positioned to help us enhance the company’s efforts to deliver client-oriented marketing services in the region.”

Wehry is armed with a range of experience gained from more than 20 years in financial services marketing in Paris and Hong Kong.  This spans across various functions including marketing, client servicing and product development.  Before joining BNP Paribas Asset Management, he was Regional Head of Marketing and Communication, Asia ex-Japan at Amundi.
