BNP Paribas Asset Management publishes 2021 Sustainability Report
As part of its Global Sustainability Strategy, BNP Paribas Asset Management (‘BNPP AM’) is committed to reporting on its sustainability progress, and has today published its dedicated 2021 extra financial report (‘Sustainability Report’). The report demonstrates the six pillars of BNPP AM’s strategy through key achievements, progress on specific data points and initiatives.

“This extra financial report details our responsible approach, in our investment processes, our fund offerings and via our shareholder engagement policies, and reports on our progress towards the goals we have set for a low carbon, environmentally sustainable and inclusive economy.”
Among the key achievements in 2021, BNPP AM has:
- Continued to integrate ESG[1] into its investment processes, representing assets under management of EUR 330.5 billion
- Extended its proprietary research methodology to have sustainable indicators for more than 13,000 companies globally
- Voted at more than 2,000 general meetings and opposed 33% of resolutions, focused on corporate climate lobbying, board diversity and executive compensation
- Enhanced its commitment to aligning its investment portfolios with the goals of the Paris Agreement by joining the Net Zero Asset Managers initiative (‘NZAM’)
- Published its biodiversity roadmap, to integrate the challenges of preserving natural capital into all of its investment management activities
- Classified 81% of its open-ended funds in Europe as Article 8 or 9, according to the Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (‘SFDR’).
